Item Ability Upgrades

General Overview

RP (Respect Points) are given for taking part in battles and can be used to upgrade abilities built into open items in the Blood Progression.

The player earns RP in every battle and, after leaving the region, can spend the collected points to level up one of the available items with abilities.

Getting RP

After unlocking an ability for a shuriken or an amulet, there's a chance to get RP for each battle.

Chance to get RP in each battle:

• 5 RP — 25%

• 10 RP — 10%

• 15 RP — 7%

• 20 RP — 5%

• RP is shown in the loot window above the enemy’s head.

• You can lose RP if you're defeated and then leave the region.

• RP can be restored if you're revived.

How to Use Earned RP

Upgrading is a way to make an item's linked ability stronger. It improves the effect without changing how it works.

Each item can be upgraded 4 times. The upgrade works only for one specific ability linked to the item.

RP is earned in battle and after leaving the region safely. You need it to upgrade items. When you get enough RP and meet the Blood Progression rules, you can raise the upgrade stage.

You can't buy RP or get it in any other way. You can only earn it in the battles.

Item Upgrade Cost

Amulet #1 — Ember Golem

• Upgrade 1: 25 RP

• Upgrade 2: 50 RP

• Upgrade 3: 75 RP

• Upgrade 4: 100 RP

Amulet #2 — Iron Fish

• Upgrade 1: 125 RP

• Upgrade 2: 150 RP

• Upgrade 3: 175 RP

• Upgrade 4: 200 RP

Amulet #3 — Sky Turtle

• Upgrade 1: 225 RP

• Upgrade 2: 250 RP

• Upgrade 3: 275 RP

• Upgrade 4: 300 RP

Shuriken #2 — Fourth Horseman

• Upgrade 1: 75 RP

• Upgrade 2: 100 RP

• Upgrade 3: 125 RP

• Upgrade 4: 150 RP

Shuriken #3 — Bloodspiller

• Upgrade 1: 175 RP

• Upgrade 2: 200 RP

• Upgrade 3: 225 RP

• Upgrade 4: 250 RP

Shuriken #4 — Triumvirate

• Upgrade 1: 275 RP

• Upgrade 2: 300 RP

• Upgrade 3: 325 RP

• Upgrade 4: 350 RP

Note: Upgrade cost may change over time.

How Upgrading Works

• RP is used for upgrades through the item window with the active ability if Blood Progression rules are met.

• All 4 upgrade stages are available.

• The current stage is shown with an icon split into 4 parts that fill clockwise starting from the top.

• You can't skip stages. Upgrades go one by one.

• After the fourth stage the upgrade button is locked and you see MAX.

RP Refund System

When a player returns RP they get back 40% of the RP they spent but must pay with emeralds.

Formulas

• How much RP you get back: (total RP spent / 100) × 40

• How much it costs in emeralds: 2 RP = 1 emerald (rounded down) Example: 5 RP → 2 emeralds

RP is refunded for all upgrade stages of the item.

Details

• Refunded RP can be used for other items with abilities if they're unlocked in Blood Progression

• If all items in Region #1 (even locked ones) are fully upgraded then RP from battles is replaced with gold

• Exchange rate: 1 RP = 10 gold (added to total gold loot)

• After you refund RP for any item RP can drop again in the region
