# Blood Altar
## **General Description**
The Blood Altar is a central element of gameplay, where players use blood collected in regions to unlock new content and progress further. Players contribute blood earned from defeating opponents, which unlocks new NPCs, items, recipes, and mechanics.
## **Features**
Players have a blood flask to collect enemy blood in regions:
**Blood Progression**: Becomes available upon first entering the Bazaar after completing the tutorial.
**Blood Collection:** Blood is a vital resource for player progression. It is used at the Blood Altar to advance through the game’s progression system. Blood can only be obtained in regions by personally defeating an opponent or looting a corpse found in the location.
**Flask Mechanics**: The blood flask fills during battles and is fully emptied when merged at the Blood Altar. Once the flask reaches its maximum capacity, no more blood can be collected until it is merged.
**Flask Capacity**: Depends on the character’s [outfit](https://docs.playhattori.io/game-info/game-systems/bazaar/player-profile/outfit), also player can double flask capacity by watching the ad before enetering the region. Capacity ranges from 50 to 90 units.
#### **Blood Altar Interface**:
* Progress is shown as a vertical bar filling with blood drops from top to bottom.
* The interface displays the current target item or content that will unlock upon reaching the required blood level.
